Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, and we do not sell your information.

What we collect

Waitlist: when you join the waitlist, we receive your email address so we can notify you at launch.

Account: when you subscribe, we receive your name and email address so we can deliver the service. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details are handled by Stripe and we never see or store them.

Usage: we log estimates you run, markets and trades you view, and API calls (Pro), so we can improve coverage, keep the service running, and enforce plan limits.

How we use your email

We use your email address for four things: waitlist launch notices (waitlist only), delivering your account, sending renewal and payment notices, and sending product updates we think matter to paying subscribers. Nothing else. No marketing list you did not ask to join.

Cookies

We use the minimum cookies needed: session cookies to keep you signed in and preference cookies for basic settings. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the product: our payment processor (Stripe), our email delivery provider (Resend), and our hosting provider (Vercel). They are bound by their own privacy policies and may use your information only to provide their services to us.

Your data rights

Email hello@permitbudget.com to request a copy of the information we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it. Note that deleting your email address means we can no longer deliver service notices or process renewals, so your subscription would be canceled.

Data retention

We keep purchase and account records for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and customer-support purposes, then delete them. Waitlist emails are kept until launch plus a reasonable follow-up window, then deleted on request.
